Logie ride - CANCELLED (Friday 16:40) - waterlogged venue and no other option after searching.

Rides:  pleasure/ training 22, 31 and 51 distances. NO 60km class - no entries.

General Description: A great mix of riding through beautiful country; forest, farm and moorland. Tracks and paths through forestry and disused railway section above the river Findhorn. Some minor road work, but not busy and easy riding. Romach Hill is a hill! (31 class) and fantastic section over moorland to the east of Tomcork (51 class).

Venue - directions and location:

Take A940 Forres  - Grantown road . Follow on to Viaduct and turn LEFT under viaduct. Take 1st RIGHT downhill, over humpback bridge and round to RIGHT. Sharp Left hand corner, then downhill and over cattle grid. At Y junction turn LEFT into field.

Facilities/ arrangements: Venue in a field - so no loos (crazy cost). Come prepared!

 Special Notices:
  • Field venue by kind permission of farmer - please take all muck home with you.
  • Parking on one side of the field and away from the sheep (may well be moved). Riders leave down the track across the sleeper bridge then along the road and up to Johnstripe. 
  • sheep (lambing time) after A and on the moor (Berryburn) - take care
  • Sleeper bridges on Tomcork loop (second part of 51km) - marked but take care!
