General Description: 100% Forestry tracks and paths to the south of Loch Meiklie and to the east above Drumnadrochit. Great views on the eastern loop over Loch Ness.

Venue - directions and location:

From the NE go through Inverness and  follow signs for A82 Fort William for 16 miles to Drumnadrochit. Just after the monster centres on the right, turn right before the bridge sign A831 Cannich. Continue for 4 miles. Turn left at the Glen Urquhart Forest car park (Bulnain Bike Park). Continue over the bridge to the car park area.

from SW come up the A82 from Fort August for 18 miles to Drumnadrochit. Just after the bridge, turn left before the monster centres sign A831 Cannich. Continue for 4 miles. Turn left at the Glen Urquhart Forest car park (Bulnain Bike Park). Continue over the bridge to the car park area.

From the N, there is a short cut over via Beauly / Kiltarlity over the Glen Convinth high level route. Warning - quite a hill on the Glenurquart side. 2.5 miles south of Beauly, turn right on the A833 Drumnadrochit. Continue up, over and down the other side for 9.5 to T junction. Turn right on to A831 Cannich and continue 2.5 miles. Turn left at the Glen Urquhart Forest car park (Bulnain Bike Park). Continue over the bridge to the car park area.

No toilets.

Parking tight and need to leave space for the public. Please be careful and stack up where possible. Thanks.

 Special Notices:

IMPORTANT - no farrier at ride.

Gates & Cattle Grids - there are 6, all are hinged but may need dismount to open / close. 2 gates beside cattle grids.  Please close all gates as there is livestock around.

This is a Forestry area used by the public, including mountain bikers. There is a bike park near by. Please be aware of this.

Please remove all muck and rubbish.
