| General Description: | The ride will include Loch / Glen Glynack to the north, General Wade's Military Road / Glentromie to the south and Glen Truim to the west. This is spectacular riding in mostly open country with moors, lochs, hills, woods, rivers, ancient paths and breath taking views of the Cairngorms. Not to be missed! | ||

Venue - directions & location: |
Newtonmore Riding Centre, Biallid Farm, Fort William Rd, Newtonmore, PH20 1BP Coming south on the A9, turn off at the first Kingussie junction (left, t-junction, then right under A9). Continue through Kingussie and 3 miles on to Newtonmore. Continue through the village and turn Right sign A86 Spean Bridge / Fort William. Continue 0.5 mile and the venue is on the right. Coming north on the A9, turn Left at sign 'Local Services, Newtonmore 1½, Kingussie 4'. Continue 1 mile towards Newtonmore. Shortly after garage on left, turn Left onto A86 Spean Bridge / Fort William. Continue 0.5 mile and the venue is on the right.

| Facilities/ arrangements: |
Camping - £5 per camp / lorry per night. Field on the RIGHT as you go up drive, but enter this field from the road up track at the SE corner. There will be signs. Corralling - £5 per night per horse. Field on the LEFT as you go up drive. to enter, U turn in front of large shed at top to come back through the gate. NOT through the gate half way up drive. There will be signs. Please pay Pay May (with registration or at the ride). Stabling - available at the venue. Toilets - Portaloo available in the camping field. A toilet is also available in the riding stables, but please limit use during the day. Please do not use staff toilet. Saturday night / meal and entertainment - come prepared to enjoy yourself! Fuel-filling-fun food and brilliant local band - approx £10. Numbers / veggies with registration helps. Book on Friday night with Pat at the latest! |

Gates & gate allowance. There are gates on this ride that riders will need to open / close. There will be a gate allowance given on all the distances. See Admin at start of ride. Vet halt. will be on map with description. Please check at Admin. Local riding club using the arena Sat am - please be aware when near by. Please take all rubbish. There is a muck heap by the new barn. There is NO farrier on Sunday. Local farrier nos from the riding centre staff. This is the grouse shooting season. Please stay on tracks and paths. |
